Our monthly meeting attendees on Tuesday August 12, 2025 heard a most interesting talk by Republican National Committeeman Dr. Robin Armstrong. Dr. Armstrong gave us the inside scoop of what is going on with redistricting here in the state of Texas plus many other topics including a bit of the aftrmath of the Covid vaccine debacle during the Q&A section of his talk.

On Tuesday July 8, 2025. Texas State Representative Dr. Tom Oliverson was our speaker giving us his take on the Teaxs 88th Legislative Session that ended June 2.

Our June monthly meeting was held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 6pm. Our Texas legislators reviewed what actually was accomplished in the 2025 session. 

Our monthly meeting was held on May 13, 2025. Our amazing speaker was Kyle Scott, recently elected to Place 2 on the Harris County Appraisal District.  

Kyle Scott began his professional career as a high school civics teacher before becoming a professor at the university-level in 2005. He and his family returned to Spring, TX in 2008 and he began his career as a small business owner. He is now a Professor of Entrepreneurship at Sam Houston State University.

Kyle was elected to the Harris Central Appraisal District Board of Directors in 2024, where he now serves as the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee at HCAD.

Kyle has been married for 24 years to his high school sweetheart. Their son is a sophomore at the University of Houston, and their daughter is a junior at Providence Classical School. They have been members of Klein Trinity Lutheran Church since they returned to their hometown.

Kyle received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas, a PhD from the University of Houston, and his MBA from Rice University.
